Chisago County Cemeteries

The historical society's work with Find A Grave was started in the spring of 2008 with the goal to audit and augment our extensive cemetery records. Today, all 42 cemeteries located within Chisago county are online. One memorial has been created for each known burial. Local volunteers continue the task of photographing all the visible markers. These pictures are then added to the memorials, as time permits. 

Accessing the Records

Click on any cemetery name to the right, a new window will open and provide access to all of the records within that cemetery.
 
 You can navigate the entire Find A Grave website to search, send updates or corrections, leave "virtual" flowers, and request a photo of any cemetery marker if a picture does not already exist. 

Updating or Adding Information

You are encouraged to submit additions or corrections to the memorial manager. These updates help increase the accuracy of the online records. 

Unknown Burials

Many deaths have occurred within Chisago County where no "final disposition" was recorded on the death certificate or noted in the obituary notice. Some of these names have already been found during the society's cemetery transcription and photography projects. These and additional names can be found in this "Unknown Burials" list. Click here or the button below to view this list.
