Membership in the Chisago County Historical Society is open to anyone
interested in the history of Chisago County. Membership fees are used for the
daily operation of the Historical Society.

A membership does not require participation in activities, except as your
interest, time and talents permit. If you would like to be a volunteer with the
society, please write, email , or call the office to discuss your ideas. We can use
any amount of help you can offer!

Benefits of membership

The Chisago County Historical Society provides a variety of educational
programs year around. These range from genealogy workshops, folk art
demonstrations at local community festivals, to special events featuring food,
fellowship and guest speakers.

The Historical Society publishes the Chisago Heritage Journal each
quarter. (See sidebar at left.) It is filled with articles about the history and
heritage of the local area and is included free with your membership.

Our research library is available to local residents, former residents, and
researchers who travel from abroad in search of information about their
ancestors. Information about upcoming programs is published both on our
website and in the local newspapers.

Membership in the Chisago County Historical Society is tax deductible to the
extent that contributions to 501(c)3 tax exempt organizations are allowed.
